| The Hokkien Foundation was incorporated in Singapore on 2 July 1977 as a company limited by guarantee. It was registered as a charity on 21 August 1984, and has the status of an Institution of Public Character. The Foundation is managed by the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan, and primarily focuses on improving the standard of living of Singaporeans through education, economic, social, and cultural initiatives. It aims to provide relief of human suffering in times of natural disasters, aid for disease prevention, treatment and research, as well as assistance for education and community initiatives. |
