"The Ecological Management Foundation was established as a not for profit organisation in March 1990 in the Netherlands.The management of EMF consists of a board with diversity in professions and gender. The day to day operations are managed by the chairman, the secretary and a number of part-time consultants.
The foundation concentrates on research and networking in the field of sustainability and innovative ecologically responsible management. These activities form the source for initiatives by EMF to develop projects with the private sector, in cooperation with renowned international corporations, organizations, and institutes, including non- governmental organizations (NGO).
In some cases EMF acts as a microfinance provider to promote small scale innovative initiatives. |
