The purpose of the foundation is to support research and development in order to affect advanced production systems mainly on the utilization of machine tools and to advance production engineering through the incorporation of international technology to contribute to the advancement of the world machinery industry.
Today's machine industry requires the systematization of efficient production using electronic technology, advanced control techniques, robots and other advanced equipment, in order to reduce production costs and also to increase the products quality at the same time.Mazak Foundation was organized in August 1981 to assist and subsidize the research and development of the advanced technology necessary for production systems, to promote the international exchange of technology, and to contribute to the development of the machine industry in Japan and the entire world. |
