The Democracy After Communism Foundation (DAC) is an independent, non-profit Hungarian organization founded in 1990 to mobilize resources and intellectual capital in order to promote the development of democracy and a free market economy and to assist those working to build a pluralistic civil society in post/communist Hungary and Central Europe. The main aim of DAC is to transfer the skills, knowledge and information from West to East, from East to West and from East to East to support the principles of free market, the rule of law, limited and accountable government, individual freedom and responsibility.
