The Gypaetus Foundation is a non-profit private foundation working for the conservation of the natural heritage of Andalusia (Southern Spain).
Currently we are working on several biodiversity conservation projects in the mediterranean basin area, one of the main biodiversity hotspots at global scale. One of our flagship projects is the LIFE project: "Actions for the reintroduction of the Bearded Vulture (Gypaetus barbatus) in Andalusia."
The main pilars of our Foundation is: 1. Scientific knowledge. 2. Fight of the biodiversity threats, and 3. Involve a wide range of social sectors in biodiversity conservation programs.
