| The ideal candidate should have a PhD in a topic related to remote sensing, physics or mathematics (or a University degree and 5 years of research experience in this field after the university degree giving access to PhD studies). Good knowledge of shell scripting and the linux environment is essential. Experience in physical or mathematical modeling is recommended. Knowledge of the programming language C, the IDL environment and the manipulation of remote sensing imagery are advantageous. Good knowledge of spoken and written English is required. The knowledge of another community language would be an advantage. Relevant publications and presentations should be highlighted.
