A three year post-doc position, EU-funded, is available at the Laboratory of Genetics of microorganisms at the University of Liège, Belgium. Challenge The aim of the consortium with partners in Belgium, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Netherlands and UK is finding means to increase biomass production of microalgae and making them a better feedstock for future products and energy. Within the consortium, groups work on 1) photosynthesis, the harvesting of light, 2) metabolic pathways leading to transformation of energy to biomass and 3) valorization/production of methane and bioproducts. In our lab, you will work on metabolic pathways and compare proteomic adaptation in various mitochondrial mutants of the unicellular green alga Chlamydomonas whose growth rates are differently affected. 我要提问
