A three year Research Fellowship funded as part of a substantial grant from the Leverhulme Trust is available to undertake world-class research into the emerging discipline of metamaterials.
The post is available from 1st August 2010 and may be based in the Department of Physics, Department of Materials, or Electrical and Electronic Engineering, to be negotiated with the successful candidate.
You will hold a good honours degree and a doctorate (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area. Substantial postdoctoral experience, a good record of peer-reviewed publications and an established national research profile and burgeoning reputation in the field of metamaterials are also required for this senior research position. The successful applicant will have a good track record of high quality academic publications and experience of working with other research scientists in multi-disciplinary projects and in mentoring more junior staff and students. |
