eGovernment is the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in public administrations combined with organisational change and new skills in order to improve public services and democratic processes. For this, new expertise combining technical, organizational and sociological knowledge is required.
We focus on the key building blocks necessary to harness technology for development: Users, Organization, Technology, and Economy. Our Master gives you the skills by providing scientific knowledge and opportunities to apply these to real-life settings. We provide cutting edge scientific and practitioner expertise and a vast network of experts to become part of. You become an e-governance expert able to provide the necessary cross-sector integration necessary to manage change in situations with multiple and conflicting interests, including departmental and business interests, regulatory and legal standards and norms, and human and social concerns.
Having successfully graduated from our program, you will have acquired the following competences:
- You are familiar with the European and global development towards electronic government; legal, social, technical, and organizational aspects.
- You understand the transformation process government agencies and private businesses are going through.
- You understand the role of technology in these changes and are able to assess the effectiveness of technology in solving government and governance problems.
