Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Engineer in Biospectroscopy and Optical Bioimaging
A Postdoctoral Fellow and a Research Engineer position for R&D of optical spectroscopy and instrumentation are immediately available.
The candidates should have a PhD degree for postdoc and Master degree for research engineering in one of the following disciplines: Applied Physic/Biophysics, Biological Sciences, Optical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biomaterials or equivalent. Hands-on experience in optical instrumentation, biomedical optics, such as optical spectroscopy, microscopy, and fiber optics and optical design, are preferred. Proficiency in Biostatistics and programming using C++, Matlab, Labview are advantageous.
Research Fellow Position in Near-field and Nonlinear Optical Microscopy
A Postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately for the project which will be involved in near-field optics and nonlinear optical microscopy for bioimaging.
The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in one of the following disciplines: Physical Optics, Applied Optics/Applied Physics; Optical Engineering/instrumentation, Biomedical Optics, Biomedical Engineering; Photobiology, Photomedicine, and or equivalent qualifications. Demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following areas is required: nonlinear optics and microscopy (CARS, SHG, THG, etc.); near-field optics; ultrafast laser technique; laser spectroscopy; optoelectronics. Proficiency in programming using C++, Matlab, Labview is advantageous. Creativity and independence are highly desirable.
PhD Scholarships
There are openings for PhD candidates who have strong interest in Biophotonics and Bioimaging techniques, and wish to pursue PhD degree in the topics such as tissue fluorescence and Raman spectroscopy and imaging for biomedical diagnosis; high contrast endoscope imaging; near-infrared spectroscopy imaging; light scattering spectroscopy; light-tissue/cell interactions for therapy; surface-enhanced Raman scattering, plasmon enhancement, coherent anti-stokes Raman scattering (CARS) microscopy; multimodal nonlinear microscopy on tissue, near-filed microscopy; F-microscopy; speckle dynamic and speckle interferometry techniques; modeling of light propagation in tissue; imaging through turbid media, fiber-based devices for manipulation and imaging, etc.
