The Laboratory of Inflammation and Cancer (Department of Physiology and NUS Immunology Program) at the National University of Singapore is seeking applications for 3 graduate student (PhD) positions.
Candidates will work on national grant-funded research projects on the molecular and cellular functions of annexin-1 in the immune system and cancer. Specifically, projects will be focused on (i) identifying the importance of stromal vs tumor vs immune annexin-1 in the initiation, promotion and progression of cancer; (ii) therapeutic effectivenss of an annexin-1 derived peptide on initiation, promotion and progression of cancer; (iii) importance of annexin-1 in lymphocyte development.
Qualifications
At least a 2nd upper class Degree (B.Sc. with Honors or Masters) in life sciences or related discipline
Experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques is desirable
Background in immunology and pharmacology will be an advantage |
