The International Max Planck Research School for Environmental, Cellular, and Molecular Microbiology is a graduate school offering an international PhD program and excellent research possibilities for young scientists. Research areas covered are:

The IMPRS for Environmental, Cellular and Molecular Microbiology offers fellowships for a three-year structured PhD program. The program will start October 1, 2010.
Our graduate school is a joint initiative of the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology and Philipps-Universität Marburg and is committed to outstanding and multidisciplinary scientific training in modern microbiology. We provide excellent research facilities in the fields of cellular microbiology, molecular microbiology, microbial biochemistry, biogeochemistry, microbial ecology, plant-microbe interactions, and parasitology. Students broaden their individual PhD projects by joint seminars, lectures, workshops, international research conferences, and retreats. The program is taught in English.
