The French federation of insurance companies awards grants of €1,500 to support master’s theses and €3,000 to support doctoral dissertations related to the history of insurance. The foundation also provides grants of €5,000 to support the publication of doctoral dissertations.
Program description
Established in 1937, the French federation of insurance companies (FFSA, Fédération française des sociétés d'assurances) represents the interests of French corporations and mutual companies, as well as the subsidiaries of foreign companies, engaged in the business of insurance and reinsurance.
FFSA’s committee on the history of insurance provides research grants to master’s and doctoral students whose thesis or dissertation deals with the history of insurance. The committee also underwrites the publication of dissertations.
