The Center for Quantum Devices at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen invites application for PhD scholarships in superconductor-semiconductor available for the candidates of all nationalities. The successful applicant will be enrolled as a PhD student at the University of Copenhagen. The PhD program, in addition to the project work comprises participation in courses or international PhD schools and some activity as teaching assistant. The position is for three or four years depending on the applicant´s status.

Study Subject (s): Scholarships are awarded for a research project to investigate coherence properties of superconductor-semiconductor hybrid electronic structures, for both conventional and topological quantum information processing at the Center for Quantum Devices at the Niels Bohr Institute.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing PhD research program at University of Copenhagen.

Accreditation: University of Copenhagen is an accredited university. University of Copenhagen is accredited by the IARU and EUA.

Eligibility: The candidate should have a strong background in experimental and theoretical physics, including low temperature experimental technique and nanofabrication. The successful applicant will be enrolled as a PhD student at the University of Copenhagen. The PhD program, in addition to the project work, comprises participation in courses or international PhD schools and some activity as teaching assistant.

Scholarship Open for International Students: The position is open for candidates of all nationalities.

The candidate should have a strong background in experimental and theoretical physics, including low temperature experimental technique and nanofabrication.

Duration of award(s): The position is for three or four years depending on the applicant´s status and expected to lead to a PhD degree at the University of Copenhagen.

What does it cover? Salary, pension and terms of employment are in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Academics Central organization. Currently, starting salaries are about 25,000 DKK (Euro 3,330) per month for PhD students starting with a master´s degree – plus 17.1 % pension contribution.
